NTNU to celebrate its centenary
Science|Business reporting
2010 is a jubilee year for NTNU, which will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the foundation of NTH, the Norwegian Institute of Technology, one of NTNU's predecessors. It is also 100 years since the formation of the Student Union and NTNUI, Norway’s largest athletic association.
These celebrations will be combined with events to mark the 250th anniversary of the Royal Norwegian Society of Sciences and Letters.
During a week of celebrations from September 13-17, NTNU will welcome the king of Norway at an official 100-year birthday celebration and will launch a history of the university, tracking its development and that of its predecessors over the last century.
